MAITREYA MUD HOUSE TABO

 

The newly built two-storey mud abode is an amalgam of the new with the old world charm;  deluxe interior modern fittings & comfort, encased in indigenous exterior mud walls. Most houses in Spiti Valley, a Cold Desert, are built with Mud,  that keeps warm in winter & cool in Summer.

This new hotel is located adjacent to the famous Tabo Mud Monastery complex and about 300 meters away from our other Two hotels, MAITREYA REGENCY TABO & SIDHARTH TABO.

The hotel has NINE luxury mud rooms, SIX of which are on First floor. Rooms are large, aesthetically furnished with attached modern toilets. Piped water is directly sourced from Snow melt and rooms are energized by both hydro & Solar power.

There is a multi-cuisine restaurant on the ground floor with Spitian traditional seating, ‘Choksey’; low tables and cushioned seats to squat. Local food is also served on prior orders.
